We are thrilled to bring you the latest edition of the CanAm February EdTech Report, Volume 16, Issue 11. This special Future of Education Technology Conference #FETC24 edition is packed with insights, highlights, and forward-thinking trends in the realm of educational technology, reflecting on our recent Canadian Trade mission to Orlando and the educational renaissance period we are entering as predicted in our Top10 EdTech Trends for 2024.

FETC 2024: A Global Stage for Innovation

Our journey began with the FETC 2024, where Team Canada's Trade Mission shone brightly. A BIG thank you to each participant who contributed to this event's success, with gratitude expressed to Matthew Waldron, Canadian Trade Commissioner on the ground in Florida co-organizer of the mission with MindShare. A little trivia for you! Did you know that the state of Florida is the #1 trade partner to Canada?

The 28th CanAm EdTech Reception, "Celebrating Excellence in Learning & Innovation," marked one of our best ever, thanks to our partners, sponsors, and the esteemed leaders in education who joined us. Your dedication to fostering a community of innovation continues to inspire. The singing of our respective Canadian and American Anthems was a truly unifying experience. Mental note to provide song sheets for next year! Congratulations to Jennifer Womble, FETC, Chair and the team for putting on one of the best ever events! We greatly value our Can/Am partnership!

Podcasts and Panels: Voices of EdTech

Our lead unboxing podcast is not to be missed featuring Dr. Hayley Watson, Co-founder & CEO of Open Parachute. This edition also features highlights from the "This Week in Canadian EdTech MindShareTV Podcast," where the Edutech Guys delved into the latest trends in EdTech optimization within classrooms. I was honoured to be interviewed by the EdTech media legend, Kevin Hogan's on the FETC floor offered an exclusive sneak peek into the top 10 Emerging EdTech Trends for 2024, signaling exciting developments on the horizon.

 Quote of the Month
AI is a powerful tool, but it only enhances learning if students and educators embrace an ‘H→AI→H’ approach,” State Superintendent Chris Reykdal continued. “ Start with human inquiry, see what AI produces, and always close with human reflection, human edits, and human understanding of what was produced.
