Dear Colleague,

Welcome to our special Re-opening Summer editon of the MindShare Canadian Coworker eMag!

We are thrilled to welcome our existing coworking members and new members back to the MindShare Workspace--Canada's First Mall located coworking innovation space for small business, consultants and remote workers.

While it's been an incredibly challenging time to sustain and survive during COVID, our team has taken the opportunity to innovate and create new programs to meet emerging needs of all workers for a growing community of hybrid workers. Given the increased demand, we are in the midst of expansion plans this coming year to Burlington and Richmond Hill.

As the roaring 20's are upon us, I encourage you to cease the moment to pursue your dreams of running your own business and making a career move. Our team is here to help you grow and thrive!

I hope you enjoy this Special Summer Issue of the MindShare Canadian Coworker eMag.

 6. Hybrid Work Is Dominating the Office Landscape

globest.com: June 24, 2021

A hybrid approach with employer guardrails appears to be a popular model moving forward.
When Julie Whelan, Global Head of Occupier Thought Leadership at CBRE, looks at the company’s surveys, she sees a clear trend—the way that employees engage with the workplace will be more flexible in the future.

Whelan said that 80% of respondents want a more hybrid workplace.
“But the nuance is that we offered them two options with hybrid,” Whelan said on CBRE’s “The Weekly Take” podcast. “One is hybrid with company guidance, and the other was hybrid, where employees have total freedom to choose.”

CBRE found that no one chose the “fully in the office” option and nearly everyone chose the hybrid approach with company guidance. Whelan says this means there will be “some degree of guardrails put in place where employees understand how to operate in the flexible world.”
