5th Anniversary Message from the Founder
Robert Martellacci, CEO |

Dear Colleague,
Happy Global Entrepreneurship Week! As I reflect back on 5 years since launching Canada's first shopping mall-located coworking space I am grateful for the many entrepreneurs we served who took a chance on a new store concept that had never been done.
It's always a bit daunting to take a leap of faith into the entrepreneurship world. Three key tips I offer startup founders: solve a real problem, do your homework to flush out a rock solid business plan and finally execute with passion.
Speaking of small business startups, here's a great opportunity to tap into the Canada Digital Adoption Program. We are pleased to announce our partnership with Logics Technology in offering this very generous grant program to help you innovate and accelerate your growth. Read more in this issue below. Feel free to drop me a note robert@mindshareworkspace.com to arrange an exploratory meeting.
SAVE the DATE! We are excited to invite you to join us to celebrate our 5th Anniversary Holiday party Tuesday, December 6, 5 - 8 pm at the MindShare Workspace, Erin Mills Town Centre. Please RSVP. Join us to learn more about our expansion plans, enjoy local entertainment, network with community leaders & members over fine food and holiday cheer!
Congratulations Mississauga Italfest on receiving a Cultural Heritage Award for successfully hosting the 10th Anniversary event. We are proud to be the home of Mississauga Italfest!

4. Toronto ranks as one of the best coworking cities in the world
curiocity.com, October 13, 2022 |
|
|
Though working from home has become the new norm, sometimes you miss the socialization that comes with working alongside your collegues. That’s where coworking spaces come in handy and believe it or not, they’re getting pretty popular. Thanks to its flexibility and accessibility, coworking spaces are popping up across the world and a new ranking found which cities around the globe are the best for these spaces.
In a ranking by Business Name Generator, the team investigated 53 cities around the world and found how they perform when it comes to coworking. They looked at the number of available coworking spaces, the average rent, WiFi speed, and search volume data. |

5. Burnout and isolation: Why employees and managers can’t ignore the social and mental health impact of working from home
theconversation.com: October 20,2022 |
|
|
The COVID-19 pandemic has spurred on a variety of workplace maladies, including “the great resignation,” “quiet quitting,” “overemployment,” labour shortages and conflicts between managers and employees over returning to in-person work.
Employee burnout and well-being may be at the heart of several of these issues.

6. How Coworking Enhances Hybrid and Remote Work Environments
coworkinginsights.com: November 14,2022 |
|
|
As someone who’s been in the commercial real estate business for 40 years, I’ve seen the ebbs and flows of the workplace, but nothing quite as dramatic as the shift the CRE industry has experienced in the past three years.
I, like many of my peers in the industry, have accepted that remote working is here to stay. However, the shift to hybrid working is now becoming a more permanent option for corporations across all industries. The opportunity for coworking is a viable alternative to working from home for professionals craving connection, productivity. and opportunity.
